309 Honey is one of the oldest beekeeping family located in the heart of the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand. They have been harvesting Manuka Honey for the past number of years and are famous amongst honey experts for their top grade Manuka Honey.
Methylglyoxal (MGO) is a major antibacterial component of Manuka Honey and it is used to measure its strength. This honey is tested and certified at a minimum 100 MGO.

The Manuka bush is covered in white flowers for four weeks of the year during mid-summer and the slopes of both mountains and valleys are covered. During these four weeks bees are extremely busy gathering the honey from the Manuka flower. Methylglyoxal forms naturally in the Manuka plant nectar ready for collection by the bees
Methylglyoxal - the active anti-bacterial compound in Manuka Honey MGO Manuka Honey is labelled based on the minimum Methylglyoxal content (mg/kg) it contains.
For instance, MGO 100+ Manuka Honey has been tested and is certified to contain at least 100mg/kg of dietary methylglyoxal
Methylglyoxal is the active compound directly responsible for the antibacterial activity of any Manuka honey and the MGO rating clearly indicates the minimum level of this compound in each jar. No other system of measurement gives such a clear and simple indication. The higher the Methylglyoxal content of MGO Manuka Honey, the stronger the antibacterial activity.
All of our MGO Manuka Honey products are scientifically tested and verified to ensure you are getting consistent quality. Every batch is subjected to laboratory tests that measure various quality parameters including Dietary Methylglyoxal content. Great care is taken to ensure that the bio-active compounds are maintained from the bee-hive to the finished product so you do not lose any of the valuable properties of this remarkable honey.

We are Dubai Food Muncipality's approved brand.Honey is harvested by our trained and certified beekeepers under our supervision and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of International Standards.
Once harvested, honey samples are sent to Honey Research Institute operating under NARC.
A second batch of samples is sent to our internal laboratory which is registered with PSQC. In our state of the art laboratory, we check honey of adulteration through various tests, such as:
- Electrical Conductivity
- Ash Test at 600C
- Thermal Stability Test
- Glucose and Fructose Test
- Pollen Density Test
- HMF Test
- Sucrose Adulteration Test
We carry out these tests and prepare reports as per the SOPs of Quality Services International (Germany) requirements. Our test reports are accepted worldwide for an accuracy up to 3 decimal places.
Before packaging, we randomly send our batches to Quality Services International (Germany) Laboratory and National Food Lab (UAE).
